5 awesome ways to successfully incorporate pink into your home interior

An average internet user will most likely first turn to Wikipedia when looking for answers. So, needless to say, when I started doing the research about my favorite color (…pink…yes, it’s pink), I clicked on Wikipedia’s link first. The first sentence read: “Pink is a pale shade of red that is named after a flower of the same name.” …Whoever wrote this article obviously had no idea about the first rule of the how-to grab the reader’s attention — always start off strong and on a positive note. No one needs to hear about how “pale” pink is, or that it’s just a version of some other major color, or whatever. How it should have started is this: “Pink would be the color of happiness if happiness was a park bench.” See? Was that too hard? You say something pretty like “happiness” and you also say something nutso-crazy to keep the reader interested. Once the reader is hooked, you are on a roll baby!

Now, let’s talk about what we are all here for — Harry Styles. Joking! Pink. There’s no escaping it. Traditionally pink is associated with girls, bubble gum, babies, cotton candy, and romance. When you want to say that something looks too good, you usually say that it is looked at through rose-colored glasses — which are pink. When you want to show off how cheerful and wacky you are, you place a pink flamingo in your front yard. If you’re into gemstone-symbolic you know that pink ones are used to bring serenity and neutralize disorder and frustration… I could go on forever, but I don’t need to, do I? You probably know most of this stuff, because our readers are awesome and smart.

On the other hand, although pink is indeed so gorgeous and terrific, it can be tricky to incorporate into your home décor. Too much of it can quickly end up looking tacky and cheap. So we are here to help you do it properly and with taste. Here are five unmistakable ways to bring some fluffy-go-lucky pink into your home.

Flashy pink details in the bedroom.

1. One statement-making pink piece

This first way is also the safest route to take. Regardless of the main color of your home interior, this particular way will work like a charm. Whether your home interior is boho, tropical, glam, minimalist, or some eclectic mash-up, one major pink piece is bound to look tasteful and bold. Go for a soft pink sofa or some bigger-scale pink wall art and you will be amazed how much change just this one pink piece could bring into your home-design outlook.

2. Everything pink

This can sound rather extreme, but it’s not really. Pink on pink looks wonderful if it is done well, and you don’t need to be a design expert to do it! The most important thing here is to go for different shades of pink, otherwise, your interior may end up looking boring or overwhelming. Once you design your room in different pink tones, that lovely pink won’t look as surprising as it would if you were to go for just one piece. It will end up looking natural and pleasant.

3. Drama-pink

Tea-time drama fans! Spilling the tea interior design vise means some drastic measures are to be taken — so pair up your soft pink décor with some midnight black and navy blue. Nothing screams “style” more than bold contrasts. Just remember to go for two to four colors at most, or you may end up creating some cringe-worthy tea-spilling interiors.

4. Small pink touches

This is my least favorite pink-inducing method, but it is perfect if you want to make a change without taking a major risk. All you have to do is accessorize your interior with tiny touches of pink décor. So think cushy pink pillows, charming pink candle holders, elegant pink vases and flowers, etc. Your space will look inviting, elegant, and safe.

5. The last and the bravest — bright pink entrance

Uh huh, sounds cooky amirite? So cooky that it just might work and trust me, it works like a charm. Nothing says: “I’m one confident style-icon and you are welcome” (*snap snap snap), quite like a pink door. A simple pink door will set the tone for the rest of your house and it will work as a great focal piece. Besides, this year is already crazy, so get yourself some pink door to go with it.

So that would be it, folks! I don’t really have a conclusion for this article and I don’t think it needs one. We can all agree that we could use more pink moments in our lives at this point and working it into your home interior is just one practical way to do it. Stay safe and don’t forget to add some pink here and there, you won’t regret it!
