Trash To Treasure Art Exhibition
If you’ve been here for a while you already know how proud we are of the fact that all of the artworks created at Mosaics Lab are made from environmentally friendly and natural materials. Our ideology is rooted in sustainability and we are always eager to support any action or cause that is contributing to taking care of our planet, especially if it’s related to mosaic art. On that note let’s chat a bit about the ongoing Trash to Treasure art exhibition.
Trash to Treasure is a brand new art exhibition currently on display at Mosaic Art Collective in Manchester, New Hampshire. The exhibition is created in partnership with the New Hampshire Art Association, and its straightforward title pretty much says it all. All of the artists taking part in the exhibitions are giving new life to their recyclable trash.
This environmentally-conscious exhibition showcases some of the amazing talents who use their artistic prowess to turn discarded objects into marvelous works of art. The show features a range of remarkable upcycled art pieces, as well as two special art pieces on loan from the Currier Museum. One is an amazing installation of work by Eriko Tsogo and the other is an interactive piece by Owen Lowery.
The idea behind the exhibition is to inspire and educate its visitors about the challenging times our environment faces. Materials used range from food wrappers to discarded metal. The body of work showcased highlights the potential of recyclable waste and the significance of environmental consciousness. Some artworks are more discreet, while others are loud, but all send the same environmentally friendly message.
In the end, if you still have any qualms about whether trash is good for you or not, let me quote one of my favorite artists and wise men of the modern age: “You’re daddy’s dream, you’re peach in a cream and you’re finally ripe at last, but when you hit the sheets you just turn to trash, trash, trash!” Yes ladies, gents, and non-binary friends, Alice Cooper said that back in 1989 and it still rings true today…
